Relax, Rebalance, Revitalise – Your mind, body and soul at NQ Complementary Therapies in Brighton.

Welcome to NQ Complementary Therapies in Brighton.

My name is Naomi Queree and I am passionate about helping people using my skills to create tailor-made therapies delivered with genuine care and positivity. I decided to change career towards the end of the pandemic as like many others I had come to value mental and emotional wellbeing more highly than ever and becoming a therapist seemed the ideal way to help others restore and balance their body and mind.

I think that my past experience in sales, customer service and journalism enable me to quickly build a rapport with people and being empathetic allows clients to open up and relax with me easily. I work intuitively, developing a course of treatment unique to each client’s needs.

I have a Level 3 Diploma in Complementary Therapies from VTCT and am qualified to give Swedish Body Massage, Reflexology and Aromatherapy. I am a fully insured member of the Federation of Holistic Therapists with whom I am registered. I also have a Level 2 Award in Infection Prevention (COVID-19) for Complementary Therapies and Sports Massage.

What ARE COMPLEMENTARY THERAPIES?

Complementary therapies are sometimes sought alongside conventional medical treatment and can help alleviate a range of symptoms, particularly musculoskeletal pain, stress, anxiety, fatigue and insomnia. It is an holistic approach, aiding the body and mind’s natural healing process.

Whether you need support with an existing condition or just need some respite from your busy life it is important to note that emotional and mental stress often manifest in real physical symptoms and can in turn lead to more serious physical ailments. So if you need relaxing, rebalancing or revitalising why not try Complementary Therapy?

I OFFER THE FOLLOWING THERAPIES:

SWEDISH MASSAGE

Swedish Massage

Swedish Massage is the classic massage, relieving muscle and fascia tension, stimulating the circulation, helping to break down fatty deposits, improving lymphatic drainage, soothing the nerve endings and exfoliating the skin amongst many other benefits. Using a series of techniques to gently stroke, stretch and stimulate the muscles it is the ideal therapy to help with mental and emotional stress and muscular aches and pains. More vigorous techniques and pressure work can be applied for specific areas if requested but it is not a Deep Tissue or Sports Massage. For sports related injuries it is recommended that clients contact a qualified Sports Therapist.

Reflexology

Reflexology Treatment

Reflexology is an ancient therapy that is usually performed on the feet or hands. The whole body is mapped out on the feet or hands and by applying pressure on specific areas that correspond to a problem area on the body, some relief may be given by unblocking this area and restoring balance or homeostasis. The feet or hands are also divided into zones, each one representing parts of the body and it is believed that an imbalance in one part of a zone can be dispersed by working on another part of the body in the same zone. This therapy can be very effective for specific emotional or physical issues such as menopause, insomnia or stress and it is recommended to book a course of at least 6 treatments to fully reap the benefits.

AROMATHERAPY

Aromatherapy

Aromatherapy is the application of essential oils using massage. Essential oils have specific properties derived from their biochemical components and it is believed that these cause a chemical reaction in the body. Much of modern medicine originates from plant-based remedies and it is thought that the absorption of the oils via massage to the skin and by inhalation to the respiratory system enhances the process of self-healing by indirect stimulation of the immune system, aiding homeostasis.

Consultation is particularly important in Aromatherapy and I take time to choose the oils for your unique blend. Like Reflexology it is recommended that you book a course of 6 sessions to allow the therapy to give you the maximum benefit.

Any changes to your conditions or current emotional state will be taken into account and the blend will be tailor made at each visit to reflect this and to give you the perfect blend.

Essential oils can be used to help with a wide range of conditions from stress, depression, PMT, reproductive problems, arthritic and rheumatic pains, psoriasis, digestive issues, insomnia, sciatica and chronic fatigue and many more. I only use high grade pure essential oils and quality carrier oils.
